Law enforcement officials arrested 58 people between the hours of  5:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. from July 12 – July 14 for various drug-related infractions at the “Lightning in a Bottle” festival that took place at Lake Skinner near Temecula, according to officials.547361_10151025979013199_830415061_n

The three day festival celebrated environmental sustainability, art and music. It attracted over 15,000 participants.

Riverside County Sheriff’s Department personnel worked in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) as well as the state Alcohol and Beverage Control (ABC) office to take action against participants of the event who were engaged in the sale or consumption of illicit substances, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s report.

Teams from the Sheriff’s department, DEA and ABC successfully solicited the sale of drugs numerous times and then arrested the parties involved, Riverside County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Jason B. Horton said.

Authorities seized cocaine, ecstasy, ketamine, LSD and marijuana among other substances during that time, according to Horton.

It was not clear at this time how much of each drug was seized.
