Salahaldeen Alwishah was arrested in the 82800 block of Avenue 44 in Indio after deputies discovered he possessed multiple items of stolen property from the residence that was burglarized in Palm Desert, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s report.

It was not immediately clear why the deputies responded to the market as a follow-up to the reported burglary.

Alwishah also had stolen items from reported burglaries in Palm Springs, Indio and the Coachella Valley, Riverside County Sheriff’s Sgt. Brad Farwell said.

Awishah was booked into the Riverside County Jail located in the city of Indio.

Anyone with additional information about this investigation is urged to call Deputy Aldrich at the Palm Desert Sheriff Station at 760-836-1600, or they can call anonymously at 760-341-7867.
