Lake Elsinore police officers are seeking a suspect in a boating accident that left a woman seriously injured shortly before 8:00 a.m. Saturday in Elm Grove Beach along the West 800 block of Lakeshore Drive in Lake Elsinore, a Sheriff’s official reported.

The woman was traveling as a passenger on a personal water craft vessel when she fell into the water and was struck by another boat, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s report.

Instead of stopping, the driver of the boat that struck the woman continued onward and left the area, according to Sheriff’s Sgt. Raymond Nava.

The driver of the personal watercraft retrieved the injured woman from the water and drover her to shore before calling 911, Nava said.

Now police are searching for a possible suspect and are seeking the public’s help in identifying him. Anyone who has information related to this incident is encouraged to contact Deputy Tyler at the Lake Elsinore Police Department at 951-245-3300 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at 951-776-1099.
