Actor Paul Walker, famous for his role in the “Fast and the Furious” films, has reportedly died.
The actor was involved in a car crash on Saturday afternoon in Valencia, Calif. when a porsche he was a passenger in somehow lost control and crashed into a tree. The car then burst into flames. The apparent driver of the car, and Walker’s friend, was also killed.
His death has been confirmed by various sources, including TMZ and Variety, and was even confirmed on the actor’s official Facebook and Twitter pages. Walker was in town to attend a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was 40 years old.
A native of Glendale, Calif., Walker appeared in several TV shows and films such as “Pleasantville” and “Varsity Blues,” until breaking out in 2001’s “The Fast and the Furious.” Walker had appeared in all but one of the six films in the franchise.
At this time, Walker was currently in production of the upcoming seventh installment of the “Fast and the Furious” franchise. His death will undoubtedly leave a void in the film’s production and has already garnered a significant heartfelt response from his fans.
