UPDATE: According to reports, helicopters and airplanes are now fighting the wild-land blaze along with handcrews.

UPDATE: All traffic on Los Alamos and Briggs Road is stopped. Avoid the area.

ORIGINAL: A fire was reported Sunday, May 4, east of Murrieta, according to reports. The fire was reported shortly before 1:30 p.m. in the area of Los Alamos and Briggs Road.

According to scanner chatter, the fire is burning in heavy fuels and has already burnt two acres. The blaze has a potential for 40 acres, according to scanner chatter.
