Police arrested a 69-year-old La Quinta man Monday for driving under the influence after he allegedly rear ended another vehicle that was stopped at a red light at the Intersection of Highway 111 and El Dorado Drive in the City of Indian Wells, a Sheriff’s official reported today.
Richard Kay Rockey was traveling eastbound on Highway 111 toward El Dorado Drive when he rear-ended the stopped vehicle, a yellow Toyota FJ Cruiser. Police officers arrived to the area shortly before 9 p.m. and arrested Rockey on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to Sgt. Jeremy White.
White said Rockey Riverside County Jail in the city of Indio.
